Abstract
To enhance absorbing energy capacity of octagon absorbing box of vehicle, shape optimization of octagon absorbing energy box with different section shape and size optimization of octagon absorbing energy box with different section thickness were studied using adaptive response surface method. By means of optimization, an octagon absorbing energy box structure with better absorbing energy effect was put forward. The optimization method of different section shape and different section thickness can be used to optimize other structures, the optimized structure is easy to realize too.
