Abstract

The strategies of transmission and control applying three driving modes in driving and regeneration for electric buses were studied, besides protective control strategy for the batteries. Using the PCAuto software, the strategies of control are implemented. The control strategies were proved to be feasible in the driving and regeneration braking of electric bus. Simulation models for the electric bus with the ADVISOR software were proposed. Primary studies on how the shifting of AMT affecting the regeneration braking of electric bus provided a basis for optimizing the transmission system of electric bus. The control strategy has been applied in the Olympic Games Concept E-Bus.
