Abstract
Two design methods are proposed for the sliding mode control of linear systems with input and state delays. Delay-dependent and delay-independent sufficient conditions are given respectively for the existence of sliding manifolds in terms of LMIs, based on which the corresponding reaching motion controllers are also developed. An example illustrates the design methods.
