N2 - This paper researches on the gear shift control of a hydro-mechanical transmission. First, the model and dynamic analysis of hydraulic control system for the shifting process is proposed. Then, in order to achieve hydraulic buffer controlling of shift clutch and good shift quality of automatic transmission, the shift control module which includes control hardware system and control software system is designed. Finally based on a special vehicle, the bench testing is carried out and the test result is given. The result of the experiment shown the function of automatic transmission and good shifting quality can be achieved.
