Abstract
Based on the establishment of the models for vehicle, electric motors, auxiliary power unit, power battery pack, super-capacitor and driver, an energy management forward simulation system for series hybrid bus is constructed. The algorithms of On/Off control, load tracking control and bus voltage control are developed with a simulation conducted. The results show that the load tracking control strategy is more conducive to the fuel economy of series hybrid electric bus with more practical use value.
