Abstract

Yaw moment control (YMC) is one of the important measures to improve vehicle stability. Motor torque response is more rapid and accurate than the internal combustion engine (ICE), and motor can change its direction easily. So compared with the ICE and the single motor driven electric vehicle, dual motor independent driven electric vehicle can easily achieve yaw moment control. The system model is established and the stability control strategy based on the YMC is developed. The simulation results show that the vehicle's stability has been improved compared with the vehicle without stability control strategy.
