Analysis of triangular pedrail wheel structure under transient impact

Abstract

Method of triangular pedrail wheel dynamics simulation is introduced and 1/2 overall vehicle dynamic model established. An operating condition simulation under transient impact is done. The result of dynamic simulation is input to a finite element analysis (FEA) model and FEA of the main structure of triangular pedrail wheel is performed. After analysis of the FEA result, the structure of the wheel is improved. The result of the vehicle with the triangular pedrail wheel is very similar with the simulation result in the same operating condition.
