(1) Crystal growth of quantum materials and exploration of new materials. It mainly includes topological materials, unconventional superconductors, two-dimensional materials, thermoelectric materials, photoelectric materials and so on. The high quality single crystal materials were synthesized by melt method, co-solvent method, chemical vapor transport method, Bridgman method, electrochemical method and other single crystal preparation methods, and the basic characterization of the materials was carried out by XRD, SEM, EDX, TEM, ICP, XPS and other technical means.
(2) Study on the physical properties of materials and the relationship between physical properties and structure and microstructure. The electrical, magnetic and thermodynamic properties of materials are studied with PPMS, MPMS and other equipment. The relationship between physical properties, structure and microstructure of the materials was studied by XRD and TEM.
(3) Growth and basic characterization of nanomaterials. Nanomaterials such as topological nanowires, nanocolumns and nanosheets were synthesized by VLS, gas phase transport and gas phase reaction. The nanomaterials were characterized by XRD, SEM and TEM.
(4) Collaborative research. Provide high-quality samples for well-known research groups at home and abroad, and carry out cooperative research, mainly including ARPES, STM, spectroscopy, structure and microstructure, micro-nano processing and application of devices, electrical properties, thermodynamic properties, etc.
