摘要
Spray macroscopic characteristics and droplet microscopic characteristics of the gas-liquid two-phase jet under low-pressure twin-fluid atomization were experimentally investigated. Backlight imaging technology was used to visually observe the spray in order to obtain time-resolved evolution of spray morphology and external diffusion characteristics. Phase-Doppler particle anemometer(PDPA) was used to measure droplet velocity and diameter within the flow field in order to further analyze the interaction between droplets and airflow. The results show that the flow field of the gas-liquid two-phase jet spray is highly turbulent, and the mass ratio of liquid fuel to gas has a significant effect on the macro and micro characteristics of the spray. The droplet Sauter mean diameter(SMD) is within the range of 10-20 μm, and the maximum droplet diameter is close to 40 μm. Large-scale droplets in the spray are difficult to undergo shear break-up, but the possibility of further turbulent break-up exists.
