Abstract

The hydroxy-terminated polyether and multi-isocyanate curing system of the NEPE propellant is watersensitive. Based on the click chemistry reaction and in order to obtain a new curing system, polyethylene glycol (PEG) and propargyl bromide were used as the raw materials, tetrahydrofuran as the solvent, the potassium tertbutanolthe as catalyst, temperature 30'C , reaction time 24 hours, to synthesize alkyne-terminated PEG (C = PEG). The product was obtained as viscous liquid with a yield of 86. 1%. The C=PEG was characterized by IR NMR and EA. The reaction of the C=PEG with azido compound was studied, and expected to be able to form a new curing system used in the composite solid propellant.
