Abstract

The sorption of Pb(II) and effective ingredients from ginseng ethanol-extract by diglycolamidic acid resin was investigated. Adsorption dynamics model parameters were obtained. The analyzing results of Pb(II) content show that equilibrium sorption capacity of Pb(II) increases with the increase of temperature. The Pb(II) content reduces from 1.7 mg/kg to lower than 0.2 mg/kg when the temperature is higher than 55°C. This adsorption process follows a pseudo second-order kinetic model. The isotherm agrees with Langmuir model and the Freundlich model. Sorption of effective ingredients increases with the increase of adsorption time, and the maximum sorption amount is up to 0.18 g/g resin.
