Abstract

The preparation of nano-sized Mn-Zn ferrite powders by liquid phase circumfluence with the activator of Fe2+ at normal pressure was studied. Based on the liquid precursor of ZnSO4·7H2O, FeCl3·6H2O and MnSO4, the powders were synthesized for about 6h. The effects of varying reaction factors such as pH, concentration and activator on component of the powders were also investigated and the conclusions were obtained. The techniques such as XRD, TEM and SEM were used to describe their crystal structure and morphology. The results show that their average diameter of the powders with spherical shape is 4.35 nm and Fe2+ has catalysis on the preparing reaction. A new method of preparing nano-sized Mn-Zn ferrite powders was established.
