Abstract

The stabilizers content as one of the key indicators for safe use of NEPE propellant, should be long-term, real-time monitored. Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy(FTIR) was used to test infrared characteristic peak of the propellant after accelerating aging at 75°C, 70°C, 65°C, 60°C, and 55°C. According to Lambert Beer model, second derivative data conversion was used to eliminate the factors affecting on the spectrum such as ambient temperature or instrument. The experimental results shows that peak at wave number 1 598 cm-1 of FTIR spectrum second-order derivative has high linear correlation to stabilizers content of NEPE propellant. The result is the basement of non-destructive monitoring for NEPE propellant.
