Abstract

Supercritical water oxidation of hydroquinone in waste water was investigated in a flow reactor at 390-540°C and 25-35 MPa. Oxygen was used as the oxidant. The decrease efficiency of COD of the waste water reaches more than 99%. The effects of temperature, pressure and residence time on the decrease efficiency of COD of the waste water were also studied.
