Abstract
The ignition characteristics of boron-based fuel-rich propellants were studied by the CO2 laser ignition facility at atmospheric pressure and subatmospheric pressure, and the effects of the ignition energy and the content of components on the ignition delay time were also studied. The results showed that increasing pressure improves the ignition performance of boron-based fuel-rich propellants. Decreasing the content of aluminum powder or increasing the content of ammonium perchlorate can also improve the ignition performance of the propellants.
