Abstract

Cloud Control System is proposed based on Cloud Computing, Networked Control System and Internet of Things. It inherits the '3C' (Computing, Control and Communication) from Cyber-physical System and provides powerful ability of data storage and processing to serve control system. It is getting popularity day by day in the modern CS architecture, because of its ground breaking future applications. From the perspective of engineering application, this paper makes an investigation on engineering problems in initial phase of Cloud Control System, addressing the issues regarding communication protocol, gateway and time delay of network, based on some simple experiments. An experiment based on ball-beam and Tencent Cloud is presented with a simple compensator used to compensate the delay of network. It shows that Cloud Control System is feasible. And work in this paper will lay a good foundation for further research on Cloud Control System.
