Abstract

Close relationship exists between the optimum design of electric vehicle's power train parameters and its energy consumption characteristics. A analysis method for the vehicle's energy consumption is adopted where the driving range, energy consumption per kilometer, and the specific energy consumption are selected as the evaluation parameters. Equivalent number of passengers and equivalent load are used to evaluate the driving load. Based on the experimental results on urban route, the energy consumption of BJD6100-EV has been analyzed. The method is helpful to understand the energy consumption characteristics of the electric bus and serves as a guide to the matching of parameters for electric bus.
