Abstract

The study aims at exploring the characteristics and research progress of aluminum dust clouds combustion, providing references for future research. It firstly describes the ignition and combustion processes of aluminum particle, and clarifies the combustion mechanism of aluminum particle; then the experimental, theoretical and simulation progresses on aluminum dust clouds combustion have been summarized, together with parametric analysis on the particle clouds combustion process. Future work on aluminum dust clouds combustion may focus on: improving the dispersion and characterization accuracy of the particle clouds combustion experiment, reducing the deviation of flame propagation speed, raising the accuracy of theoretical prediction model depicting the particle clouds combustion and building a practical CFD model for particle clouds combustion simulation.
