Abstract

The dual pulse motor can reduce the flight resistance and increase the range of the rocket projectile.To study the influence of dual pulse motor on the ballistic performance such as range coverage and terminal velocity of medium and long-range rocket projectile, the motor models of single boost and dual pulse motor were established, and the exterior trajectory calculation program was compiled.The range coverage and terminal velocity of medium and long-range rocket projectile with single boost and dual pulse motor were compared and analyzed.The research demonstrates that compared with the medium-range rocket projectile with single boost motor, the minimum range of the rocket projectile with dual pulse motor is reduced by 34.24%, and the maximum range is increased by 24.63%;the range coverage of the rocket projectile with dual pulse motor can be effectively broadened by reasonably selecting the initial launch angle and pulse interval time.The extended range of the long-range rocket projectile with the dual pulse motor is only 5.89%, and the extended range of the medium-range rocket projectile with the dual pulse motor is more evident;At the same range, the dual pulse motor can also largely improve the terminal velocity of the rocket projectile in the small range and improve the terminal penetration ability of the rocket projectile.
