Shaped Beam Pattern Synthesis Using Multi-objective Optimization Algorithm

摘要

In this paper, the multi-objective optimization algorithm (MOA) has been proposed for shaped beam pattern synthesis. In order to test the performance of proposed algorithm, design cases of cosecant beam pattern synthesis are conducted, including the design case of synthesis with mutual coupling effect between the elements in the antenna array. Synthesis numerical results show that the MOA has obtained the smallest maximum mainlobe ripple (MMR) and the lowest maximum sidelobe level (MSL) compared with other latest synthesis algorithms. Besides, the convergence performance and computation complexity of the proposed synthesis algorithm are analyzed in this paper. Considering the outperformance on synthesis results, convergence and low computation complexity, the proposed algorithm is a kind of excellent synthesis algorithm for shaped beam pattern synthesis.
