摘要
A subsystem for controlling and managing the closed-shelf stacks of Beijing Institute of Technology Library is developed. The implementation of the proposed subsystem's functions and the scheme for optimizing schedules scheme are discussed. Traditionally, the book selection process is time-consuming and inefficient. To address this problem, an improved genetic algorithm is used to optimize the selection of books. The experimental results show that this algorithm considerably improve book selection efficiency.
