Abstract

Aiming at the problem of wideband radar range-spread target detection, this paper proposes a weighted double threshold detection algorithm based on generalized likelihood ratio test (GLRT-DTW). Firstly, the algorithm uses the first threshold to extract the strong scatterers of the target, then weights the conditional false alarm probabilities of the second threshold test statistic, and finally obtains the second thresholds under different numbers of strong scatterers. This paper verifies the conclusion that the proposed detector is superior to traditional detection methods in terms of robustness and effectiveness through simulation experiments of three scatterer energy distribution models.
