Abstract
A 3-D open-framework nickel aluminophosphate [NiAlP2O8][C2N2H9] has been solvothermally synthesized using ethylene glycol as the solvent and ethylenediamine as the template. Its structure is assembled through 1-D AlP2O83- chains with corner-sharing 4-MRs via transition metal Ni2+ ions. The 1-D AlP2O83- chains are connected through octahedral Ni atoms, which are coordinated to the terminal oxygens of 1-D AlP2O83- chains and the amino groups of the template. Infinite Ni-O-Ni chains are formed along the [001] direction.
