N2 - We characterize pulse spectral broadening in dispersion-engineered 4H-SiC-on-insulator waveguides. We demonstrate, for the first time, supercontinuum generation in SiC waveguides. We achieve a 30-dB bandwidth over 300 nm by using 510-fs pulses as the pump.
