Abstract

NiFe2O4, Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4, MnFe2O4, Mn0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 nanopowders with spinel structure were prepared in the system of water-in-oil microemulsion of water/Triton X-100/n-hexanol/cyclohexane.The structure and magnetic properties of the obtained nanopowders were characterized by TEM, XRD, Zeta potential devices, VSM and so on. The results show that the as prepared soft ferrites nanopowders have a complete structure and a narrow size distribution (30-80 nm). The optimal calcining temperature of nanopowders were 500 °C. The magnetic properties of the nanopowders were measured at room temperature. Compared with other preparation methods, the nanopowder prepared by microemulsion method had the fine soft magnetic properties with a high specific saturation magnetization, a low specific remanent magnetization and coercivity.
