Abstract

The surface complex support of MoO3-SiO2 was prepared by the method of surface reaction modification. The MoO3-SiO2 supported Cu-Ni bimetallic catalyst was prepared by isovolumic impregnation. Chemical adsorption and reaction performance of carbon dioxide and methanol on the catalyst were characterized by IR, TPD, TPSR and micro reactor techniques. The results showed that the said catalyst had high activity for dimethyl carbonate synthesis from carbon dioxide and gaseous methanol, and the reaction products were mainly dimethyl carbonate with a selectivity higher than 80% , CH2O, carbon monoxide and water.
