Abstract

Aim: To analyze acoustic emission source and its mathematical model and drill wear process in drilling. Methods: Theoretical relation of drill dimension parameters and acoustic emission signal was described. Expression of plastic power in every plastic deformation area was studied. Results: Mathematical model of pseudorandom acoustic emission signal energy quota (RMS) and external machining conditions were presented. Conclusion: Theoretical basis is provided for monitoring drilling states using acoustic emission technology.
