Abstract

Organic light-emitting transistors (OLETs) with characteristics of organic light-emitting diodes(OLEDs) and thin-film field-effect transistors(TFTs) have shown great potential applications not only in large area and all-organic active matrix flexible displays to replace the liquid crystal displays driven by thin film transistors, but also in integrated circuit signal processing. In this paper, the progress of OLETs in device configuration, operating principle and materials and highlight the challenges in its future development is reviewed.
