Abstract

A shaped charge warhead with tungsten alloy liner is proposed for the sake of large diameter penetrating hole. The study is based on the principle of shaped charge, methods of theoretical analysis, experiment and numerical simulation, such as the effects to large hole diameter with structural parameters, components and processing of the tungsten liner. The results showed that there is a significant increment of penetration hole diameter after using tungsten alloy powder liner material in case of the same or larger penetration depth on the target.
