N2 - This paper addresses the problem of crowd simulation while maintaining the attention behaviors. We set up an environmental attention model, which simulates various attention targets of virtual characters influenced by the surrounding environment. According to the investigation and analysis of crowd behaviors, the virtual character attention attributes are divided into the intrinsic attributes and the attention tendency. Based on the various environmental attributes and character attributes, the attention target of a virtual character can be calculated during the walk. Different attention targets lead to different moving heads’ behaviors of characters with different attributes. In this way, we implement the attention individualization of virtual characters, and thereby, improve the diversity of crowd animation.
