Abstract
The traversal time of a quasi-one-dimensional waveguide that contained the ferromagnetic/semiconductor/ferromagnetic heterojunction in the presence of the Rashba spin-orbit interaction was investigated. The quantum coherence, quantum size, and Rashba spin-orbit interaction were considered simultaneously. The results showed that the traversal time considerably decreased as the strength of the spin-orbit coupling increased.
