Abstract

AP/SiO2/Fe2O3 nanocomposite was prepared by sol-gel method. SEM and XRD were used to characterize the structure of the composite. Differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) was used to characterize the thermal decomposition properties of AP and the composite. The results show that SiO2/Fe2O3 is considered as skeleton and AP is in the hole of the gel, forming AP/SiO2/Fe2O3 nanocomposite. Fe2O3 spreads in the skeleton evenly. After heating, the grain size of the α-Fe2O3 among the skeleton is 9.7 nm, and the reuniter of nano Fe2O3 is prevented. AP with a grain size of 80-250 nm is spreaded in the hole of the gel. The composite can advance the thermal decomposition of AP. Its high temperature decomposition peak is reduced by 84.77°C, and the decomposition heat enhanced by 987.1 J/g.
