Abstract

A model was presented to analyze the dependence of effective magnetostriction of the magnetostrictive composites on the parameters of components. This model yields, the magnetostriction of composites by the method of complex potential. It was found that as the permeability of matrix increases, effective magnetostriction saturates. Comparisons were made between the theoretical values and the experimental values to evaluate the accuracy of the model.
