Abstract

Time-frequency analysis is usually chosen to realize multi-aircraft formation identification in narrow band system. However, the traditional time-frequency analysis methods have their own shortcomings like limited frequency resolution and cross terms. A new time-frequency analysis method is proposed, which utilizes the sparse recovery theory and orthogonal matching pursuit method to attain the high-resolution time-frequency spectrum. And Hough transform is applied to get the number of formation sorties. Simulations verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, which performs much better than traditional Time-Frequency methods on formation identification.
