Abstract

Recently, a lot of researchers have been involved in controlling pneumatic actuators [1–4]. Some sliding mode controllers have been proposed to study the positioning control of pneumatic cylinders [5, 6]. Backstepping control based on Lyapunov methods is useful to improve positioning accuracy for a rod cylinder in [7].
