Abstract

A novel moving-target-detection method with compensation for quadratic phase Doppler migration was proposed based on the fractional Fourier transform (FRFT). The compensation and the coherent integration in each detection cell were realized by the frequency sweep filter bank formed with the discrete FRFT to increase the ability of detecting weak moving targets effectively in the background of clutter. The simulated results show that the proposed method is effective. Since the efficient fast digital algorithm of FRFT, which has approximate computation complexity to classical FFT, was proposed, the computation cost brought by this method is poor.
