Abstract

Ferroelectric ceramics are composed of many domains with different orientations. In the model, each domain is considered as an inclusion. Orientation distribution function (ODF) is used to depict the domain pattern. The coupled electroelastic field in the constituent element is obtained by using the solution of an ellipsoidal inclusion embedded in an infinite homogeneous piezoelectric medium. The equivalent inclusion method and the modified Mori-Tanaka mean field method are used.
