Abstract

In order to study the melting behavior of PA6 in PA6/PE blends annealed from the glassy state, PA6 and PA6/PE blends from the ice-water quenched specimens were studied. The effect of annealing temperature, annealing time, scan rate of differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and step-wise annealing on the melting peaks of the ice-water quenched specimens were tested. The varied melting peaks of PA6 component were obtained. The degree of perfection and the crystallization degree of PA6 crystals decreases in the blends, and the crystallization degree of PA6 increases with the increase of annealing time. The height of upper melting peak of reference PA6 is higher than that in blends.
