Abstract

A new method of matching design suitable for dual-motor drive tracked vehicles is put forward. Considering comprehensively the power need for the two sides' tracks under multiple driving conditions in straight driving and steering on different terrains, characteristics of power requirement for a single track is achieved. Taking the maximum speed and slope as the design constraints and referring to motor parameters available, through comprehensive comparison of multiple matching designs, parameters of the motor and transmission ratios of the two-speed gear box are determined. Vehicle performance check computation shows that the design result satisfies the requirement and that the matching method is applicable, and is effective to the direct matching design of dual-motor drive electric tracked vehicles.
