Abstract

This paper presents a transparent flexible microstructured polymer array combined with patterned nano-forest of metallic film. The proposed composite configuration exhibits reduced reflection (below 10%) and enhanced absorption (above 90%) in a broadband visible spectrum from 300 nm to 800 nm. It contributes, for the first time, a simple, low-cost and effective approach to obtain a soft visible-infrared converter with a large scale array. The measured results prove that the converter shows dominant superiority in the application of high efficiency thermal emitter and high resolution infrared imaging.
