Abstract
An investigation on the dynamic displacement response of thin spherical aluminum shell under the exploding shock loading of explosive charge is carried out. Test parameters have been determined by explosive exploding theory in air. The centre displacements of the shell have been measured. Relations among the distance, charge mass and centre displacement have been obtained. Analysis and comparison have been done with elastic, rigid-plastic hypothesis. The experimental results and rigid-plastic hypothesis analysis agree fairly well.
