Abstract
Through analyzing DICOM standard of communication, a communication mechanism is developed based on ESB structure, which is in accord with the DICOM standard communication mechanism. It ensured that the heterogeneous application in accordance with the DICOM communication mechanism could be inserted to the lightweight components distributed ESB platform by the form of loosely coupled module. In this manner, the integration of DICOM communication mechanism and ESB architecture was realized. The proposed mode of integration not only enables DICOM communication mechanism approach to interact other heterogeneous applications, but also makes software projects more flexible and easy to modify or maintenance. It has considerable value to increase the efficiency of project development, optimize software architecture and provide a platform for DICOM communication.
