Abstract

A new compound [As8IIIV14IVO42 (CO3)][Cu(en)2]3·10H2O (1) has been synthesized from V2O5, As2O3, CuCl2·2H2O, en and H2C2O4·2H2O in aqueous solution using the hydrothermal metho d and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. X-ray crystallography reveals that 1 is a novel two-dimensional framework material constructed from the mixed As/V polyoxometalates and coordination groups.
