Abstract

A number of studies have been carried out on deformation and fracture analyses of piezoelectric/ferroelectric materials using experimental techniques. Extensive tests, including microand nano-indentations on ferroelectric ceramic nano-composites, have been performed to produce results for verification of the existing theoretical/numerical models, in particular the reliability and accuracy of the existing fracture criteria. Some research has also been carried out on deformation and fracture analyses of soft ferromagnetic materials using experimental techniques.
