Abstract
In present work, the Ti422 (Ti-4.5Al-2.5V–2Fe) alloy with transformation-induced plasticity (TRIP) effect was designed. The combined effects of the α′ martensite and the mechanical twining leading to simultaneous enhancement of strength and ductility, which lead the alloy achieved an ultra high strain hardening rate (SHR: 8.8 GPa), as well as an excellent match between ultimate strength (UTS: 1369 MPa) and total elongation (EL: 19.1 %).
