Abstract

Under the standard condition (Pc/Pe=70∶1), the energy characteristic parameters of the solid propellant containing 1-amino-1,2,3-triazolium nitrate (ATZ-NO3) were calculated by GJB/84-96 and CAD system of propellant energy calculation using the minimum free energy method. The result shows that specific impulse of ATZ-NO3 monopropellant is 2413.96 N·s·kg-1, which is much higher than that of AP monopropellant and similar to that of RDX and HMX monopropellant. Specific impulse and characteristic velocity of HTPB propellant decrease with ATZ-NO3 substituting the ingredient AP or RDX. But for GAP propellant, specific impulse and characteristic velocity were characterized by parabolas with the increasing of ATZ-NO3 content by substituting the ingredient AP. The maximum specific impulse can reach 2608.50 N·s·kg-1 and there exists optimum content ratio of solid fillers. Meanwhile ATZ-NO3 has no chlorine, therefore, ATZ-NO3 introduced into propellant composition is helpful for the comprehensive performance of GAP propellant.
