Abstract

The drift tube ion mobility spectrometer (DTIMS) is a device used to analyze and detect trace chemicals. In this paper, a combined simulation DTIMS model based on software COMSOL is established. The parameters related to the electric field are analyzed in this model, including injection voltage and the ratio of the thickness between drift rings and insulating rings. Furthermore, it is confirmed that this model can well distinguish two substances with different mobilities.
