Abstract

The NEPE propellants were accelerated aging at 65°C, 70°C and 75°C respectively. Dynamic mechanical properties of NEPE were determined with dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA). Through the dynamic and static conversion, the relaxed modulus was calculated and its value decreased during aging. With finite element analysis, the structural integrity calculation of the propellants was simulated. The effects of modulus changes on the structure integrity were analyzed. When the relaxed modulus of NEPE propellants during aging decreased to a certain value, the structure integrity of grain would fail.
