N2 - For the energy crisis and air pollution of auto industry, New and clean energy vehicles using electric drive system becomes a kind of solution such as battery electric vehicle, series hybrid electric vehicle and furl cell electric vehicle. There predicts that electric vehicle will be an important transportation tool in the 21st century. A test bench is designed and built for the electric drive system's performance evaluation. What's more, this test bench can also be used for the electric vehicle's performance evaluation after proper selection the inertia. This paper introduced the design idea and explained the procedure of dynamic simulation of an electric vehicle by an example.
