Abstract
This paper is devoted to the problem of designing robust H2 controllers for linear uncertain systems based on state observers. Exploiting the famous separation principle, sufficient conditions for the existence of controllers and an upper bound on H2 performance are obtained. Observer matrix gains which make the upper bound minimized are also derived by the methods of convex optimization based on linear matrix inequalities.
